Cyber-crimes range from fraud, harassment, phishing, piracy, cyber-squatting to more traditional crimes like theft, blackmail, embezzlement, etc. The rise of such crimes is proportional to the development of the Net economy.
The role of our teams is to assist our clients on the prevention of such crimes for example by setting up strategies to prevent trademark infringement (cyber-squatting).
Such prevention may also be carried out with e-merchants by designing efficient network security systems and fraud management procedures.
Moreover, when prevention failed, our teams' work involves managing and co-ordinating proceedings and/or investigations in several jurisdictions, for example to enforce selective distribution provisions.
